The Velvet Lounge is a professional jazz/lounge band that combines a cool sophisticated sound with an upbeat and contemporary set providing the perfect musical atmosphere for any occasion.
With a set list ranging from the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble and Andy Williams to our own unique jazz/lounge style arrangements of contemporary artists such as Oasis, Radiohead and even The Cure, Velvet Lounge provide a sound that will appeal to everyone.
We cater for weddings, corporate functions, private parties and exclusive events. We can offer our full six-piece band for dancing the evening away, or you can opt for a smaller line-up to play during drinks receptions, creating a unique party atmosphere with sophisticated background music.
Featuring Ireland's top jazz singer Cormac Kenevey who recently signed to Candid records in the UK, and one of Ireland's hottest pianists and arrangers, Cian Boylan, you can guarantee that the music will be of the highest quality.
We pride ourselves in being a little different to other corporate/ wedding bands, so you won't find any ABBA or 'Amarillo' songs in our set list! We leave that to the DJs! If you are after something unusual and memorable for your dance floor, then perhaps this is the band for you!
