The Shamrockers are a four piece Irish Folk Group with a difference . The are an up tempo group playing Irish folk and world folk songs with Irish instruments. Where ever they play the bring an energy and passion for the music which is hard to equal. As well as having a very high quality sound have a very visual act where the listener is very entertained watching these quality musician do their stuff. The Shamrockers have travel all over Ireland ,the UK, the EU and the USA , with their brand of Irish folk music . They play to packed houses where ever they go . They are ideal for pubs clubs festivals parties and any other venue who would like high quality music.
Cathal
Holland Guitar & Vocals a Dubliner born and
bred, Cathal lives and breaths music he has
been playing for more years than he cares to
remember. Cathal is a master guitar player
with a unique style and flare coupled with
an exceptional vocal ability which generates
a most positive energy at the core of The
Shamrockers . He has played with all the
greats from Luke Kelly to Christy Moore.
Aine
Holland Bodhran & Vocals Aine Is the baby of
the group, but she has been singing in her
native Dublin before she could walk or talk,
Her singing embodies a refreshing sprit of
clarity and brilliance, Aine believes in
music and is to the fore in it development.
She is with out question one of Irelands
finest and best female vocalist.
Micheal
Lacey Banjo Mandolin / Vocals Micheal is
also a Dubliner . He comes for the Barney Mc
Kenna ( The Dubliners) School of playing .
Micheal can play Cajun Skiffle Bluegrass and
rock n roll with the same passion and style
which distinguishes him as a truly gifted
traditional Irish musician.
Ronan
O Halrahan Bass, Keys, & Vocals Ronan is
from Naas Co Kildare, he has come from the
singer songwriter stage. Ronan was the front
man for a very well known band in the 1990s
called HALLY. He is a multi Instrumentalist
and has a very clear vocal range. Mick O
Brien Mick O Brien Mandola, 5 string banjo
and Bodhran. A Wexford man with wealth of
knowledge of Irish songs , he is the
scealtoir of the band . Mick has penned many
fine pieces he is a word smith. Mick is also
the presenter of Ireland longest running
Irish folk Music Radio programme . Sin e on
