Profile:
Your wedding
reception's success can hinge on the band you choose for it. All of us in
the Irish Weavers know this and we will strive to make your occasion an
enjoyable and memorable one for both of you and for your family and your
friends.
Your guests can enjoy a selection from the huge number of songs and music
types at our fingertips including Waltz, Irish, Rock and Roll, Country,
Fast, Slow, Modern and Jive. One of the beauties of our band is the way we
cater for all age groups and nationalities - from your great-grandmothers to
your nieces and nephews! A great night is always had by all.
The key to our success lies in enabling people to have a good time. We are
brilliant at this. You can confidently rely on our years of experience
playing for weddings which has taught us how to read what each audience
wants.
Our instrumentation includes vocals, fiddle, accordion, banjo, guitar,
electric guitar, bass, mandolin, flute, keyboards, spoons, bodhrán and
electric drums. Because bad amplification can ruin your occasion we provide
modern sound gear, test the venue and keep the volume of the amplification
from being too loud. We have absolutely no problem in accepting direction on
day itself about the volume level.
You can discuss all the details of our performance and line up with us
before your wedding day. We will ensure that all your special requests for
throwing the bouquet, the opening dance, who to call up to the stage to
sing, backing singers from the floor, what must be played and what must not
be played and so forth are met.
You guarantee to set the seal on your occasion
when you choose to have The Irish Weavers play for your reception.
The band can play any
type of music required by the Bride and Groom. The set list is different for
every wedding - it depends entirely on what the couple have requested. Some
couples may ask to have specific songs played while others may be adamant
that certain types of songs should not be played.
