Q. How does entertain.ie work?
A. entertain.ie operates very much like any other type of agency. Our business is about matching the needs of our customers with those bands, performers, artistes etc. registered with us. If a successful match is identified, then the agency makes contractual arrangements to secure a booking on your behalf. You do not pay the agency for its service, but all our registered performers, artistes and services are charged a commission on each booking we secure for them.
Q. How can I be sure that I am booking good quality performers?
A. entertain.ie only deals with professionals and quality assures all services offered to our customers for booking - this means that we, as professional ourselves, will have evaluated each service in advance, and are satisfied that they meet our high standards. This assessment includes an appraisal of technical skill, musicianship, presentation and reliability.
Q. How is entertain.ie different from other agencies?
A. We have over twenty five years of experience in all aspects of the entertainment and suppliers of wedding entertainment, and can provide accurate and meaningful advice to our customers. We know what works well - and what doesn't! This advice is offered free to anyone at any time. We are also different in as much as we contract with you - the customer - directly. Many other agencies simply set up a contract between a client and the performer. We at entertain.ie however, stays with you from the moment of your first enquiry until the end of the performance or service which you have booked. This level of service, and the professionalism of our dedicated staff, means we believe that we offer true value for money and real peace of mind.
Q. What things should I consider when choosing entertainment or a service provider for my wedding?
A. We will guide you through this when you make an enquiry, but to begin with you may like to think about some of the following issues: style; volume; number of performers and the space that they will require; presentation and dress; repertoire; appropriateness to the venue and the age range/number of your guests. All of these factors can vary - so please ask for assistance.
Q. So how do I make an enquiry?
A. This is very simple. You can contact us by phone or email. Alternatively, you can complete the enquiry form provided on this web site. Please note that each band, performer, artiste, that we represent have their own unique online booking form. Just click the enquiry button that you will see on the particular performer's, artiste's, or service providers page you are on.
Q. How do I make a booking?
A. If you want to make a confirmed booking, then we will prepare a contract for you. This will state the details of your booking and the agreed fee. In order to confirm your booking, we ask you to acknowledge receipt of same and acceptance of contract by email, and pay a booking deposit (this may vary) Any payment requested from you will be supported by an invoice, and you will be sent a receipt automatically.
Q. How can I pay my booking deposit?
A. We take all major credit and laser cards, this service is provided by the world's largest credit card services Elavon Ltd. This guarantees that if for any reason the band, performer, artistes, not complete their contract for you you can claim a refund of your deposit from our credit card provider
Q. What if I want to cancel my booking?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot return booking deposits. Cancellation of contracts are subject to a scale of cancellation charges which are calculated on the basis of how much notice you give us, see i.e., the more notice you give us, the less you pay. You should be aware however that cancellations made within 14 days of the engagement date attract a 100% cancellation fee - this is because we will be liable to pay the performers you have booked on the same basis. When you go to any of our enquiry pages you will see a link to our terms and conditions page, you cannot submit an enquiry form without verifying that you have read our booking terms and conditions.
Q. Do you put me in direct contact with band, performers, artistes that I book through you?
A. Yes, direct contact information will be supplied to you as soon as you confirm a booking.
Q. If I book a band, performers, artistes can I request particular items of music to be performed?
A. Yes, as you are given direct contact information all our bands are happy to advise you on your choice of repertoire - so please, just ask!
Q. What happens if the performers or service provider I have booked doesn't turn up?
A. This has NEVER happened. But if it ever did, then you are guaranteed a full refund of your deposit, whether or not we are responsible Should a performer or service provider miss an engagement due to an emergency or illness, we do however reserve the right to make a substitution of equal quality.
Q. Should I be nervous?
A. No, relax. Our Business is here to remove any difficulties you may face with regard to all your wedding entertainment needs. During the process of your booking, and at anytime, you may contact us about all aspects of your contract with us, or ask to have a face to face meeting with one of our advisors.
